NASHVILLE SELECTED TO HOST 2034 SPECIAL OLYMPICS USA GAMES
Nashville, Tennessee, has been chosen to host the 2034 Special Olympics USA Games, as announced during a ceremony at Bridgestone Arena where the bid committee and Special Olympics North America signed a letter of agreement.
The selection received unanimous support from all 50 states, bolstered by endorsements from celebrities and athletes including comedian Nate Bargatze, musicians Lainey Wilson and Lauren Daigle, Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi, Nashville SC’s Walker Zimmerman, and Special Olympics Alumni Ambassador Scott Hamilton.
Mayor Freddie O’Connell expressed enthusiasm for welcoming athletes, families, and fans nationwide, highlighting the event as an opportunity to celebrate the courage, tenacity, and competitive spirit of Special Olympics participants while showcasing Nashville’s commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and a welcoming environment for all.
