NEW BILL COULD REQUIRE TATTOO ARTISTS TO TRAIN TO SPOT HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Senate Bill 0171, otherwise known as the Ink of Hope Act, was introduced to the state senate yesterday to train tattoo artists to spot human trafficking. If approved, the bill would require tattoo operators and artists to undergo training courses to help recognize signs of human trafficking.
Tattoo artists aren’t the only ones that will be on the lookout, as barbers and hair stylists have been routinely trained by police to also look out for possible victims for years now.
