OAK RIDGE MAN ARRESTED AFTER VIOLENT ASSAULT ON NEIGHBORS AND OFFICERS

BBBTV12 – Oak Ridge, TN – On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Oak Ridge police officers arrested David D. Fugate, 64, following a violent incident in which he allegedly attacked and assaulted one of his neighbors.
When officers attempted to take Fugate into custody, police say he resisted arrest and turned his aggression toward law enforcement. Fugate allegedly assaulted the responding officers during the struggle.
Fugate now faces multiple charges, including Attempted Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, and Resisting Arrest. In addition, he was charged with three counts of Assault on a First Responder.
Authorities confirm Fugate was transported to jail and booked on the listed charges. No additional details about the condition of the neighbor or officers involved were immediately available.
