OLIVER SPRINGS COUNCIL REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH FORMER POLICE CHIEF
The Oliver Springs Town Council last night approved a settlement with former police chief Kenneth Morgan. He was dismissed by Mayor Omer Cox in late March for misconduct allegations. The terms include the dismissal charge against Morgan will be withdrawn from his record. His termination will now be lifted and officials accepted his retirement. Morgan will receive an estimated $16,508 of salary and the town will pay an estimated $4,200 on his insurance and mutual agreement of non-disparagement provisions.
