Damion Baskin, 22 of Knoxville, was charged with aggravated assault after a suspected road rage shooting that happened on I-40 East near the Strawberry Plains Pike exit on Monday afternoon.

While driving on I-40 East, Baskin allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim and fired at least one time. Nobody was struck or injured. Baskin was located a short time later by officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and transported back to city limits to meet with KPD officers by Tennessee Highway Patrol deputies. The gun was recovered.
