One person is dead after his truck crashed into a tree on Genesis Road Friday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol on Monday identified the deceased as 43-year-old Scottie D. Ingram.

The THP report said Ingram was driving northbound when his 1995 Chevrolet 3500 truck crossed the center line. The vehicle left the east side of the roadway before impacting a tree and coming to final rest at that point.

Ingram was not wearing a seat belt. The report notes that use of safety restraints would have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
