ONE DEAD IN HELICOPTER CRASH IN TENNESSEE RIVER IN KNOXVILLE

The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a helicopter crash in the Tennessee River last night. Officers say one body was recovered. Three others escaped injury. The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration. The names of those involved will be released at a later time. As of this morning, the wreckage of the helicopter remains at the bottom of the river at the scene.

UPDATE – The survivors of the crash have been identified as:

86-year-old James “Jim” Clayton

65-year-old John McBride

40-year-old Flynt Griffin

The identity of the one deceased has not been released so far.
