ONE HURT IN TRACTOR-TRAILER VS. MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT IN PUTNAM COUNTY
One person was injured in a tractor-trailer versus a motorcycle accident on I-40 in western Putnam County yesterday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2005 Harley Davidson operated by 47-year-old Jason Barley of Springfield, Tennessee was merging into the interstate at the 268 exit when he failed to yield for a 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by 56-year-old James Franklin of Granite Falls, North Carolina. The impact ejected Barley off the motorcycle. He was flown by AirEvac to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Franklin was not hurt in the crash.
