Chattanooga police say a person was shot on the campus of Notre Dame High School this afternoon (Tuesday, February 6, 2024).

Officers say no one has been taken into custody so far related to this incident.

Police responded to the call around 2:27 p.m. Eastern and found a subject with a gunshot wound.

The victim went to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

Multiple facilities in and around the school were placed on a brief lockdown as law enforcement agencies secured the area.

Authorities say the shooting was an isolated incident not related to the school.
