ONNIS “RED” GOLLIHER, AGE 79
Onnis “Red” Golliher, age 79, of Athens, Tennessee passed away March 6, 2021 at his home. He was born May 23, 1941 in Daysville, Tennessee and was of the Baptist faith. Red was a former truck driver with WACO Trucking company in Oliver Springs and Rockwood Iron and Metal. He retired as a truck driver with Yellow Freight Lines. Red was preceded in death by his wife: Allene Gail Golliher; parents: Claude and Lilly Golliher; brothers: Roger Golliher and Gary Golliher; sister: Opal Loden; and sister-in-law: Wanda Treadway. Survivors include daughter: Deb Cardin (Tony) of Athens; son: Jeff Golliher (Becky) of Weaverville, North Carolina; grandchildren: Evan Golliher, Tiffany Sliger (Jamison), and Hunter Cardin (Nora); great-grandchild: Cannon Sliger; brother: Terry Golliher of Rockwood; sisters: Carolyn Grant (Junior) of Rockwood, Doris Ann Wilkey of Rockwood, and Billie Jean Davis of Rockwood; sister-in-law: Ruth Golliher of Rockwood; brother-in-law: Rev. William (Bill) Treadway of Rockwood; special cousin: Claudia Drew Crawford of Kingston; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Monday, March 8, 2021 from 5 until 7 p.m. eastern in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow. Interment and graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. eastern in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Obituary by Evans Mortuary in Rockwood.
