OVER 10 MILLION GRILL BRUSHES RECALLED FOR POSSIBLE ACCIDENTAL METAL INGESTION

Nexgrill is recalling approximately 10.2 million Metal Wire Bristle Grill Brushes due to a serious safety hazard. The small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes, stick to the grill or food, and be accidentally ingested, potentially causing serious internal injuries that may require surgery.

The recall, announced on March 26, 2026, involves Nexgrill grill brushes with black plastic or wood handles measuring 18 to 21 inches long. The affected model numbers are: 530-0024, 530-0024G, 530-0034, 530-0039, 530-0041, and 530-0042. These brushes were sold at Home Depot stores and online at homedepot.com from 2015 through early 2026 for about $5 to $15.

Nexgrill has received at least 68 reports of bristles detaching, including five cases where consumers swallowed the metal bristles and needed medical treatment to remove them from their throat or digestive tract.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled brushes. To receive a full refund in the form of a gift card, they must contact Nexgrill toll-free at 800-942-1498 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday) or visit the recall website at https://nexgrill.mktpoint.com/recall or www.nexgrill.com and click on β€œProduct Recalls.” The process requires registering online with a provided code, uploading a photo of the brush along with the code and their initials, and then following instructions to safely discard the product after confirmation.

The brushes were imported by Nexgrill Industries, Inc. of Chino, California, and manufactured in China. This is recall number 26-339.
