OVER 14 POUNDS OF ILLEGAL THC PRODUCTS SEIZED DURING TRAFFIC STOP IN LENOIR CITY
Posted by the Lenoir City Police Department:
On 1/7, Officer Miller conducted a traffic stop for a traffic infraction that led to the discovery of a large quantity of illegal THC products. During the stop, Officer Miller and Sgt. Lee developed probable cause to search the vehicle and located more than 5 pounds of THC products.
A second vehicle was also involved, and after establishing a connection between the two, agents with the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant. A search of that vehicle resulted in the recovery of an additional 9.4 pounds of THC products and a firearm.
These products were being trafficked between states and were intercepted here in Lenoir City.
Thank you to Officer Miller and Sgt. Lee for their hard work and continued commitment to keeping our community safe. We also appreciate the assistance from our partners with the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force and the District Attorney’s Office.
