OVER 291,000 FORD VEHICLES RECALLED FOR CAMERA ISSUES
Ford has issued a recall for over 291,000 vehicles due to a potential issue with the 360-degree rearview camera system, which may display images improperly in certain lighting conditions, thereby reducing the driver’s rear visibility and increasing crash risk. The recall affects 2020-2022 model year F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD trucks.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) expects letters notifying owners to be mailed on Monday, with a follow-up letter anticipated in March once the final remedy is available. Dealers will provide a free software update to the image processing module to address the problem, under Ford recall number 25SA8.
