OVER 33,000 DODGE TRUCKS RECALLED; FAULTY STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
Over 33,000 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks were recently issued a recall as many of the trucks may have damaged front wheel bearing encoder rings.
A damaged encoder ring can cause loss of the wheel speed signal which would negatively impact or even disable the vehicle’s electronic stability control, and possibly cause the truck to crash.
Affected models were produced between Oct. 13, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2024.
Owners will begin seeing notification letters in December, and those affected can take their vehicles to Chrysler dealerships for free repairs.
