OVER 350,000 IRON SUPPLEMENTS RECALLED FOR LACKING CHILD-RESISTANT PACKAGING
Vitaquest International is recalling approximately 356,140 units of various iron-containing dietary supplements from multiple brands because they lack required child-resistant packaging under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The affected products include Arey, Bari Life, Bird&Be, Biote, Dr. Fuhrman, NuLife, HMR, Bariatric Pal, Noevir, Zenbean, and Sakara brand supplements. Iron can cause serious injury or death if swallowed by young children, creating a significant poisoning risk when the packaging is not child-resistant.
The recall, issued on April 09, 2026, involves specific lots of these supplements with various expiry dates. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The products were sold nationwide at retailers including Credo Beauty, Erewhon, Healf, Nutrition World, The Vitamin Shoppe, Fullscript, Ulta Beauty stores, medical practitionersβ offices, brandsβ websites, and Amazon.com from April 2023 through February 2026, with prices ranging from $13 to $130 depending on the brand and size.
