A contract crew for TDOT will perform road work on I-40 in both directions from the 291 mile marker east to Monterey in eastern Putnam County. The roadway from the 281 to the 287 mile marker will also be resurfaced to take care of numerous small potholes. Motorists should be prepared for temporary nightly lane closures from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. until Friday morning (June 11, 2021).
