Patricia Ann (Scoggins) Baird, 60 years of age, born September 6, 1962, passed unexpectedly from a rare blood disorder called ITP (platelet disorder) on May 20, 2023. Pat was born in Manchester, TN to Florence and James Scoggins Sr. She graduated from CCHS and worked at Avery Dennison for numerous years. She pursued a career as a dental hygienist working with several local offices in Crossville. One of her favorites was working with Dr. Peter Rashe. Pat was of strong Christian faith and is now in heaven with our savior. We have been blessed to know Pat touched so many lives that we have heard from and many that we know nothing about – she was a giver in so many ways. There are numerous souls she touched and continues to bring people of all ages to Christ. The strongest Christian woman we will ever know. That was Pat, loved by so, so many and we are truly blessed to know her kindness will be living on in so many! For that, we are truly grateful to have had her in our lives. She was a daughter, a sister, a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and best of all the most loved Mimi by her grandchildren. Many also knew her as “Mama Pat” and what an awesome cook she was! She may have been taken suddenly from all that loved her so, but she left an abundance of love for all her family and friends that will be cherished forever. She loved taking the grands camping, and hiking, and watching them excel in their sports and beauty pageants. She was one proud Mimi!
Pat is survived by her loving husband (Wade Baird), children, Keith Beaty (wife Stevie), Stacy Spriggs (husband Jimmy), Christoper Baird, her mother, Florence Scoggins, siblings Jim Scoggins Jr (wife Sandy), Yvonne Selk (husband Chris), and Amy Moore Clark.
Grandchildren include Hudson, Henley, and Hollyn Beaty and Abigail, Madylynn, and Gracelynn Spriggs.

Preceeded in death by her father, James Scoggins Sr., and grandmother, Ruth Allen.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Hood Funeral Home at 1 PM.  Visitation for immediate family 10-11 am, friend visitation 11 am -1 pm. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm (CST) at Oak Grove Cemetery, 212 W Rockwood St, Rockwood, TN 37854.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Platelet Disorder Support Association – for People with ITP – Memorial Donation (pdsa.org).
