PEACHES SOLD AT KROGER INCLUDED IN RECALL; LISTERIA CONTAMINATION

On October 29, 2025, Moonlight Companies announced a voluntary nationwide recall of all California-grown conventional yellow and white peaches packed at its Facility P1 due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination detected in the packing environment.
Sold at retail stores from September 16 to October 29, 2025, the recalled fruit includes loose peaches with PLU 4401 or 4044 and multi-pack bags bearing UPCs such as 8 10248 03165 6, 8 98429 00209 1, 8 10248 03163 2, and others, plus Kroger-branded yellow-peach bags (UPC 11110 18174). Consumers can identify affected lots by checking for the long list of P1 lot codes beginning with 01PCLC, 03PCAF, 106PCLF, etc. (full list in the original notice).
Washington-grown or certified-organic peaches are not included. Listeria can cause severe illness or death in young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, short-term flu-like symptoms in healthy people, and miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women. No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers should discard or return the peaches and may call 855-215-5017 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET) for questions. The recall is coordinated with the FDA.
