PEDESTRIAN HIT IN I-75 CRASH IN LOUDON COUNTY
The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Loudon County are closed indefinitely at mile marker 82.5 following a serious crash between a semi-truck and a pedestrian. WATE reports that multiple agencies, including the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and emergency medical services, responded to the scene, and one individual has been transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Northbound traffic is currently being diverted at Exit 81, and the entrance ramp at the Lenoir City exit is closed, causing severe congestion. Authorities are urging drivers to expect major delays, exercise extreme caution, and seek alternate routes. Additionally, traffic on I-75 South is also experiencing delays due to a separate tractor-trailer crash that has closed the left lane at mile marker 81.
