78-YEAR-OLD PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED IN KINGSTON
On 12/27/2022, around 6:50 PM, officers with the Kingston Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Gallaher Road for an automobile that had hit a pedestrian.
A Chevy Cobalt was traveling southbound on Gallaher Road, when a pedestrian walked into the lane of travel and was struck. The pedestrian is identified as Gloria Simmons, age 78.
After being struck, the pedestrian was pronounced dead when authorities arrived. There are no charges for the 19-year-old driver of the Chevy Cobalt.
