PEYTON MANNING TO BE INDUCTED INTO 2021 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME

Peyton Manning will be inducted into the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame later this year.

Joining Manning is defensive back Charles Woodson, wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Steelers guard Alan Faneca, safety John Lynch, Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson, Raiders coach Tom Flores and Steelers scout Bill Nunn.

From 1994 to 1997, Manning was the quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers. In college he had 89 career touchdowns and set 33 school records, seven SEC records, and two NCAA passing records. Manning won the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award, the Maxwell Award, the Davey O’Brien Award, the Johnny Unitas Award, and the “Best College Player” ESPY Award and was a consensus first-team All-American.

In the NFL, he was the number one pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He compiled 71,940 passing yards and 539 touchdowns. Manning spent 13 seasons with the Colts and four seasons with the Denver Broncos. He was a 14-time Pro Bowler, 7-time All Pro and 5-time MVP. Manning won the 2005 Waler Payton Man of the Year, 2006 Suber Bowl MVP and 2012 NFL AP Comeback Player of the Year.

The hall of fame ceremony and activities is set for August 2021.
