PICKETT COUNTY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION

From 13th District Attorney Bryant C. Dunaway:
WADE ELLIS WILLIAMS, age 52, appeared before the Criminal Court of Pickett County this morning and entered a plea of GUILTY to Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (commonly known as possession of child pornography), a Class C felony. Williams was sentenced to serve six (6) years in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Corrections at 100%.
This case was investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (Internet Crimes Against Children unit), the Pickett County Sheriff’s Office, and the Office of the District Attorney General.
The investigation was initiated after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) alerting investigators to a cloud storage account containing child sexual abuse material. Wade Williams, already a convicted sex offender, was identified as the owner of the account. A forensic analysis of William’s electronic devices found child sexual images in his possession.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jackson Carter.
