At least one area school district is being forced to close due to sickness throughout the school system.  Pickett County announced yesterday they would not resume classes until next Tuesday.  Classes are not in session Monday anyway for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  So, Pickett county schools are closed Thursday Jan. 13th, Friday Jan. 14th and Monday Jan. 17th
