PIKEVILLE MAN CHARGED AFTER ILLEGAL HUNTING SHOOTING ON HOLLY DRIVE

The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office announced that Breyton Lewis of Pikeville has been charged with Felony Reckless Endangerment Involving Serious Bodily Injury following a shooting incident on October 30, 2025, in a wooded area of Holly Drive, Bledsoe County, Tennessee.
A joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) determined that the shooting occurred during an illegal hunting incident, where Lewis discharged a shotgun, seriously injuring the victim, who remains in stable condition.
Lewis was initially arrested on the same day for unrelated drug possession warrants. Authorities confirmed there was no threat to the community, the incident is fully contained, and the investigation is ongoing with additional details to be released as available.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the TBI, TWRA, and Bledsoe County EMS for their assistance.
