PLANNED POWER OUTAGE SET FOR PARTS OF MORGAN COUNTY

Plateau Electric Cooperative (PEC) will have a planned power outage at the Wartburg Substation starting this Saturday (November 23, 2019) at 11:30 p.m. lasting until Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 7:30 am. This outage will affect those members in the following areas: Wartburg, Potters Falls, Catoosa, Lancing, Genesis Road near the Morgan County line, Potter’s Chapel, and Highway 27 South of Wartburg.

PEC crews will be working to finalize the upgrades and improvements that have been made over the past 12 months. They have installed a larger transformer along with a 15kV breaker and 69 kV breaker for greater capacity and for improved system reliability. With this work being completed, Morgan County members will have two newly updated substations (Subright and Wartburg) and a loop feed coming from TVA’s Rugby Substation.

PEC apologize for the inconvenience the planned outage may cause.
