POLICE ASK FOR HELP IDENTIFING 2 WOMEN WHO SCAMMED 75 YEAR OLD MAN

The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) is asking for help identifying these two women who took advantage of an elderly good Samaritan who believed their sob story.

Police report last Saturday, the two women were at a local Walmart and asked a 75-year-old man if he could help them purchase some items.

The man tried to give them money at first but they declined, asking if he could go inside and help them pay for the items. The man opted to sit down with one of the women while the other took the man’s bank card and tried to purchase a cart filled with items.

The man told the woman he couldn’t afford all of it and took his card and went home. When he arrived home, a family member noticed a $1,400 charge on his card from Walmart.
