On Friday, June 10, 2022, around 11:50 am, Knoxville Police Department officers received anonymous information that a man had shot and killed another man. Officers established contact with the alleged suspect and were on the phone with him when he stopped responding. Officers made entry into the home sometime around 2 p.m., where the alleged suspect was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. Around that same time, officers also located the body of a man in the vacant lot next to the home.

The alleged suspect, who was found dead inside of the home of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, has been identified as Robert Daugherty, 63 of Knoxville. The man who was found dead in the vacant lot next to the home has been identified as Steven Farr, 46 of Knoxville.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing at this time.
