UCEMC has notified its members of a planned TVA power outage in the Algood area of Putnam County on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The outage is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM and last approximately six hours, ending around 5:00 AM, to allow for necessary maintenance on a TVA transmission line.

It will affect the following communities: Brotherton Mt, The Overlook, Falling Water Rd, Canada Flatt, Macedonia, Parragon, White Plains, Shenandoah, Stonehenge, Pinnacle View, Plantation View, Rocky Point, part of Shady Lane, Victory View, Rolling Hills, Twin Creeks, Hyder Mountain, Lake Pointe, Poplar Grove, Mt. Pleasant, and Mountain Top Ln. Several additional areas may also experience the outage, including Hwy 70 East, Browns Mill, Cherry Creek, Phifer Mountain, Board Valley, White Oak Flatt, Eastlake, Sheep Bluff, Mill Creek, Stone Seminary, Hickory Flatts, Indian Hills, Hidden Cove, and Mt. Herman.
