POWERBALL JACKPOT NOW $750M AFTER NO WINNING TICKET DRAWN

Three quarters of a billion dollars. That’s what Lottery officials estimate the Powerball jackpot will be for Wednesday’s drawing. That would make it the fourth-largest jackpot in U.S. history. And if you’re keeping track, the odds of winning are roughly one in 292.2 million.

Nobody matched all six numbers this past Saturday. Those winning numbers were 24, 25, 52, 60 and 66; the Powerball was 5.

The last time someone won Powerball was the day after Christmas – and that was twelve weeks ago. Twenty-four drawings since then have failed to yield a winner.

Just for the record, the country’s largest-ever jackpot was nearly $1.59 billion. Three winning tickets were sold for that drawing, in January 2016.

The second-largest jackpot was $1.54 billion Mega Millions jackpot.
