PREDATORS RALLY TO BEAT VANCOUVER TO FORCE GAME 6 IN STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS
The Nashville Predators scored two goals in the 3rd period of Game 5 of their Stanley Cup Playoff game against Vancouver to win 2-1 and force a Game 6 back in Nashville.
After the Canucks took a 1-0 lead in Game 5 on a Nikita Zadorov 3rd-period goal, Predators Captain Roman Josi countered with a power play goal with 12:45 to play. The Preds’ power play has been largely ineffective all series.
Then, Alexandre Carrier scored the biggest goal of his life. Carrier’s first goal of the playoffs came with under seven minutes to play, and the Preds hung on from there.
Nashville goalie Juuse Saros stopped 19 of 20 shots as Nashville held off a Canucks attempt to tie with the man advantage.
Game time for Game 6 on Friday at Bridgestone Arena should be announced today.
