PROPOSED BILL IN TENNESSEE WOULD BAN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOGS FROM RESTAURANTS AND GROCERY STORES
Tennessee lawmakers will consider a bill prohibiting emotional support animals (ESAs) from indoor restaurants and other food service establishments.
The bill was filed Wednesday by State Representative Kirk Haston (Republican-Lobelville) and Senator Page Walley (Republican-Savannah).
It would prohibit “emotional support animals that are not trained or in training to perform tasks or work for a person with a disability from indoor areas of food service establishments.”
Lawmakers will consider the new bill in this year’s General Assembly.
