PROPOSED BILL WOULD CREATE TBI REGISTRY FOR REPEAT DUI OFFENDERS
A new bill being considered by Tennessee lawmakers would create a registry of DUI offenders. If passed, Senate Bill 1726 will have pictures and other identifying data of repeat DUI offenders posted publicly on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s website. The list would not include social security numbers, driver license numbers or state or federal ID numbers. The bill already passed the state senate and is heading to a House subcommittee for consideration.
