On August 10, 2023, Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a PLC INC. Truck, driven by 32-year-old Peggy Sue Cooper, a resident of Cookeville, TN. Cooper is an employee of PLC INC of Baxter, TN. Cooper gave Deputies permission to search the vehicle that she was driving at which time Deputies located a McDonald’s quarter pounder hamburger box. When Deputies opened the box, they discovered approximately ¼ of a pound (approximately 4 ounces) of Methamphetamine in a plastic bag placed inside of the box.

Deputy Nunan arrested and charged Cooper with the Manufacture, Sell, Delivery, and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent. Cooper’s bond was set at $50,000. Cooper also has a Criminal Court Violation of Probation with no bond and an initial court date set for August 16, 2023.
