PUTNAM FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO HOUSE FIRE ON AUTUMN WOODS TRAIL

From the Putnam County Fire Department:
On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Putnam County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Autumn Woods Trail in western Putnam County.
Upon arrival, responding units encountered heavy fire involvement along the rear portion of the structure. Within minutes, fire conditions intensified and extended through the roof of the residence. Due to the volume of fire, crews initiated an exterior defensive operation utilizing the apparatus deck gun to suppress the main body of fire. Personnel remained engaged in fire suppression and overhaul operations for approximately three and a half hours until the incident was brought under full control.
Investigators from the Putnam County Fire Department, in coordination with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, conducted an on-scene examination until approximately 1:00 p.m. The joint investigation determined the area of origin to be beneath the home’s back deck. The cause of the fire has been classified as undetermined, and investigators found no evidence indicating foul play.
No injuries to civilians or fire personnel were reported. The structure sustained extensive damage and has been deemed a total loss.
