PUTNAM TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN MULTIPLE ARRESTS

On December 23, 2024, Deputy Dronebarger stopped a vehicle with tags that did not match the vehicle. The driver, Tammy Davis (Shoemake) was found to have a warrant for her arrest and was also in possession of a stolen chainsaw. Davis was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail. Upon being searched when she was booked in, Davis was found to be in possession of approximately one ounce of a clear crystal substance that appeared to be Methamphetamine.
Several hours later, a female named Monica Reynolds arrived at the Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to bond out Davis.
Later that night, K-9 Deputy Reed performed a traffic stop. During the traffic stop Monica Reynolds was identified as the driver and Leland Kilpatrick was identified as the passenger. It was discovered that Reynolds was driving with a suspended drivers license. Deputy Reed’s K-9 Tuco gave a positive indication on the vehicle and Reynolds was found to be in possession of a small amount of a clear crystal substance that appeared to be Methamphetamine.
Based on an ongoing investigation into Leland Kilpatrick, Detective Everett was contacted and arrived on scene of the traffic stop. Through several interviews between all involved parties, Detective Everett was able to gather enough information to search a hotel room at the Super 8 in room 112.
During a search of the room, Deputies located approximately 10 ounces of a clear crystal substance that is consistent with Methamphetamine, a loaded 9mm handgun, scales, and baggies.
Kilpatrick admitted to Detective Everett that everything located in the room was his.
Sheriff Farris would like to thank the Deputies and Detectives for an excellent piece of investigative work, putting the puzzle together in order to develop a very good prosecutable case. Keeping our community safe during a time when all others are at home with loved ones for the holidays is always a priority for the PCSO.
