On May 13, 2023, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant Brian Haworth was notified by the Department of Children Services of a reported call involving the inappropriate touching of two juvenile females on Dale Lane. The alleged perpetrator was identified as

54-year-old Alex William Moore. Detective Haworth began an investigation which ultimately resulted in Moore confessing to the inappropriate touching of the juveniles out of curiosity and accessibility.

On July 10, 2023, Detective Haworth was granted a True Bill Indictment by the Putnam County Criminal Court Grand Jury for 13 counts of Rape of a Child against Alex William Moore.

On July 14, 2023, Sgt. Matthew Duncan arrested Moore on 9 counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child, and 4 counts of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. Moore has a bond of $3,000,000 and a court date of 7/24/2023.
