RECORD HIGH TODAY / SNOW POSSIBLE NEXT

The threat of severe weather is over but rain will continue off and on into the early morning and we have already had around 2 inches in Crossville. As one of the heavier thunderstorms moved through the southern part of Cumberland County earlier this evening, trees were blown down on Vandever Road and Dunbar Road and while there was no rotation indicated by Weather Service radar it did show winds gusting up to 60 mph. Sunday we’ll see falling temperatures with snow showers by Sunday night and accumulation of one inch possible and the high on Monday will only be in the upper 30s and dropping to the upper teens by Tuesday morning. Crossville set a record high on New Year’s Day of 72° and this smashed the the old record which was 65 in 2005.
