REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON MISSING 5 YEAR OLD NOW OVER $73,000

A reward for information on the disappearance of Summer Wells continues to grow.  The 5-year-old was last seen outside her home in Hawkins County last summer. Her family told investigators on June 15, 2021, that she went inside their home after playing outside and was never seen again. An Amber Alert was issued the following day.

In December, investigators renewed the ground search for the young girl. They returned to the heavily-wooded area around Summer’s home in the Beech Creek community. The home and property around it have been searched multiple times.

As of January 17, 2022, the Summer Wells Reward Fund total is $73,705.90. This total is from the two large ($25,000 and $10,000) donations of $35,000.00 at the beginning of the reward fund to open and start the reward fund. The rest ($38,705.90)) is from the contributions that were made either directly to the bank and/or mailed to our agency.
Church Hill Rescue Squad continues to assist local, state, and federal agencies as requested. Any questions or information requests pertaining to this case need to be directed to Hawkins County Sheriffs Department. Our agency will post updates pertaining to the reward fund as they are made available and when there has been a significant increase in the fund amount.
The following are the two ways that donations can be made to the reward fund:
1. Donations can be directly taken to any Civis Bank Branch in Rogersville, and Sneedville.
2. Checks or Certified Checks can be mailed to the following address and will be directly deposited to the reward fund account.
Church Hill Rescue Squad
PO Box 704
Church Hill, TN 37642
We have extended the date for the reward fund until June 15, 2022. At that time it will go under review by the Board of Directors. Also to address the rumors that have been circulating around that these funds come back to the Church Hill Rescue Squad at the end of the reward fund time, these are just that rumors and not true or credible no matter where they have originated. Church Hill Rescue Squad will not be receiving any of these funds or benefit from the reward effort for Summer Wells. Church Hill Rescue Squad and its Board of Directors hopes that extending the reward fund will drive people to provide any credible leads and/or tips. Ultimately we feel that with 5 year old Summer Wells missing that people would continue to provide these credible leads and/or tips no matter what since the end goal is to find Summer Wells. These funds will either be dispensed to someone that comes forward with credible leads/tips or to the Child Advocacy Center as stated and determined at the start. This information was shared and made available instantly when the reward fund was established.
We want to thank all that have donated to the Summer Wells Reward Fund.
Thank you again for your continued support of the Summer Wells case along with the support to our agency.

Authorities continue to take tips on Summer’s disappearance at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
