RHEA COUNTY VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 27 RESULTS IN FATALITY
A vehicle accident last night in Rhea County claimed a life. The report states an automobile driven by 59-year-old Bradley Gabehart of Chattanooga, was traveling recklessly according to witnesses on Highway 27 near Jackson Road in between Spring City and Evensville. A Jeep, driven by 65-year-old Randal Gibbs of Spring City, was making a left turn when he was hit by Gabehart. Gibbs died from injuries sustained. Gabehart was extricated from the wreckage and airlifted to a trauma center. Troopers say charges are pending in the case.
