RIFLE REPORTED STOLEN FROM CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Monday afternoon, a Grandview man contacted Cumberland County deputies to report the theft of his Savage .22-caliber bolt-action single-shot rifle. He has ample reason to believe his girlfriend’s mother stole the weapon and took it to a local pawn shop.
Deputies spoke with a man at the pawn shop in question, who said the suspect had pawned the gun for $70 on March 6 and later tried to retrieve it, but couldn’t pass the TBI background check. Value of the gun is approximately $400. The theft of the weapon is under investigation.
