ROANE CO KICKS OFF A SERIES OF CHRISTMAS PARADES

Bands, floats, kids, cars, emergency vehicles and of course Jolly Ole Saint Nick were all part of Roane Counties first Christmas Parade for the season in Kingston last night . Over 100 entries lined the downtown streets in Kingston wrapping their way from the high school around the courthouse to Kentucky street before dispersing near Mcdonalds and all seemed to have a good time especially the children and adults who lined the streets receiving a slurry of candy being thrown out by participants .
The parade went off without any issues and started this years parades for the county .Harriman will host their parade Thursday evening and Rockwood will be on Monday evening . Both parades start at 7pm with line ups at 6pm / Oliver Springs will host their parade Friday Dec. 17tht 6pm with the line up at 5pm at Arrowhead Park .
