ROANE COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING TONIGHT AT SIX
The Roane County Commission will meet on Monday, April 14, at 6:00 p.m. at the Kingston courthouse. The agenda includes budget amendments but no major news. The public can attend and speak during the hearing of delegations.
Concerns have been raised about property tax reappraisal values increasing nearly 100%.
County Executive Wade Creswell and Property Assessor Molly Hartup have been addressing these concerns on social media, explaining that the certified tax rate must decrease to remain revenue-neutral.
