ROBERT F. LOCKETT, AGE 72

Robert F. “Robbie” Lockett, age 72, of Harriman, passed away February 4, 2021 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Robbie was a longtime member of Trenton Street Baptist Church.

Robbie was a graduate of Harriman High School (1966) and the University of Tennessee (1970). He was a state champion drum major for Harriman’s Rhapsody in Blue band under James Williamson and a trombone player in UT’s Pride of the Southland band under WJ Julian.

After college, Robbie joined the United States Air Force and served in various roles both stateside and in Vietnam.

Robbie spent the bulk of his career working as the executive director of the Harriman Housing Authority, where he dedicated himself to ensuring affordable housing was available at the highest quality possible for our community.

He was devoted to his family, whom he adored in every way. We will miss him dearly, especially his ever-present dry wit.
