Robert Lynwood Combs, age 87 of Oliver Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Methodist Medical Center.

Bob was born February 19, 1938 in Lee County, KY and was one of 11 brothers and sisters. Bob met and married his wife in Warren, Michigan where they lived together before their retirement to East Tennessee in 1999. Bob was a longtime member of Beech Park Baptist Church. Bob described himself as aunery while his family describes him as unbelievably generous. His grandchildren were the light of his life and in his younger days he had a love for gardening. Bob worked hard throughout his life to insure his family was provided for and taken care of. After 35 years, he retired from Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Onelda Lee Combs; parents, George and Glenndora Combs; grandson, Doug Lemons.

Bob will be greatly missed by son, Robert Combs, Jr. “Bobby”; daughters, Sharon Monahan, Brenda Fradette, Barbie Bowman and husband Jeff; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday, March 7, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Steve McDonald officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
