Rockwood City Council members and city staff attended a presentation by Scott Brun, manager of Rockwood Aviation LLC, who highlighted the airport’s success over the past year since Rockwood Aviation LLC was contracted to operate the airport.

In a PowerPoint presentation, Brun reported that the city earned approximately $65,000 in revenue from fuel sales and hangar rentals, surpassing recent years. Ongoing construction at Rockwood Municipal Airport includes a new major hangar and facilities for clients, as well as enhanced amenities for pilots to rest and relax before their next flight.

Additionally, the city of Rockwood recently secured a $4 million grant from the state of Tennessee to support these improvements, positioning the airport to become one of the best in the region.
