During Monday night’s Rockwood City Council meeting, Mayor Jason Jolly wanted to let the public know that the Murphy gas station on the grounds of the Rockwood Walmart is going to be closing in early February for renovations. He stated during the meeting, he just wanted to make sure the public knew that the gas station is not closing down, but a total makeover of the facility is scheduled which would give patrons a better way to pay with a new larger inside facility for the workers and to accommodate those who pay and purchase items at the window.
