ROCKWOOD MAN ARRESTED AFTER ‘KISSING STOP SIGNS’

One man is at the Roane County jail after being arrested by The Rockwood Police Department on Tuesday afternoon. According to the report from
Sergeant Jared Hall, he got a call of a man kissing stop signs and acting peculiar near the intersection of Kingston Avenue and Strang Street. Upon
arrival he noticed a subject sitting in the parking lot of the Kiddie Corner daycare identified as Terrance Adam Long.  Sergeant Hall said the subject
was sitting with his head in his lap, one shoe off and incoherent. Long had what was believed to be heroin on his person.

After a similar encounter with the subject Monday by RPD, in order to protect him from any harm he Long was arrested for public intoxication simple possession or casual exchange and violating the drug-free school zone since it was a daycare center. Long remains jailed today at the Roane County Jail awaiting a court date in front of General Session Judge Humphrey on January 31st.
