History was made last night in Pickett County as Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes Head Coach Lamar Rogers became the all-time winningest high school basketball coach in Tennessee. The Lady Buffaloes defeated the Bobcats 46 to 26 to give Rogers win number 1,218. Rogers started coaching at Clarkrange in 1977 and over the past 42 years, teams he coached won 8 state championships, 24 trips to the state tournament, two Miss Basketballs, six Most Valuable Players of the state tournament, and over 50 girls sign some level of college scholarship after playing on teams Rogers coached.
