RURAL KING SHOPLIFTERS CAUGHT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY
On Friday last week, Crossville police units were dispatched to Rural King regarding two subjects pocketing items and attempting to shoplift. Upon arriving officers, Massey and Beard saw the two subjects walking out of the front door of the business pushing a shopping cart.
The officers made contact with the individuals who identified themselves as Jacob Adams and Lillian Allen. Officer Massey checked the card and receipts while Rural King management came outside to view the receipt and items as well.
Inside the cart were seven knit beanies and a box of screws. The items discovered were taken back inside and Adams and Allen were taken into custody.
The total value of the stolen goods was around $97.52.
