Athens, Tennessee police say a male attempted to abduct a young woman at a grocery store last night.

She was inside the establishment and noticed a man following her around the store.

When she exited the building, the aggressor grabbed her by the arm in the parking lot. She pulled away from him, got into her car and left. The suspect fled the scene in a white, box-shaped cargo van.
